About

Update:

I am delighted to share that on Sunday 9th October, I completed the Chicago marathon in 3hrs 51 mins. So far, together, we have managed to raise over £6,000, which is an amazing amount and I feel humble and grateful.

I was spurred on by the messages of support, words of encouragement and generous donations, I am truly grateful to everyone.

Every pound raised will go towards helping end period poverty a very worthwhile cause, espeically in the current financial climate.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page.

On the 9th October, I am proud to say that I will be running the Chicago marathon for the very first time. I am excited and nervous as this race is the the height of achievement for elite athletes and also everyday runners just like me.

As always, I am using my running to raise money for women’s health charities. This year I have partnered with The Gift Wellness Foundation whose mission is that all women should have access to period products during their period, however many experience period poverty, where due to financial constraints they are unable to access or afford them.

Studies show that in the UK, 1 in 10 girls can’t afford to buy menstrual products, while 1 in 7 have struggled to afford them. And, 1 in 8 (13%) who currently have periods say it is likely that they will be unable to afford period products in the next 12 months.

The Gift Wellness Foundation aim to eliminate period poverty in Britain's most deprived communities by 2025.

I have always been saddened by period poverty; menstrual hygiene products are necessities, not luxuries, and it is devastating that so many girls and women in the UK are unable to afford the period products they need. I am delighted to be raising money for this important charity.

Generous donors like you are the key to their success. So for every pound raised London Gynaecology will match the first £1,000 of donations.

Thank you so much for your support. I will think of you proudly as I bravely pound the pavement. Even if you can’t donate, please cheer me on by leaving me a message.

Best Wishes,

Narendra Pisal
