My Story
Are you and your family ready for a creative challenge this summer?
This August Period Poverty UK is holding an Art competition dedicated to helping impoverished women and girls throughout the UK obtain the sanitary products that they desperately need. We’ve already helped fund and deliver over 6.5 million sanitary towels to women across the globe, but now more than ever, women need our help. The pandemic has made this issue worse and this competition is a great way to get involved.
Our theme this time is: Period Power! Menstruation is a natural process that almost all women go through in their lives, however it can be a taboo subject and we want to change that! What better way to do that than by turning a taboo subject into a beautiful piece of art? If you are a creative individual, or if you want to join forces with family, friends & youth groups, you’re all welcome to join our cause!
HOW TO ENTER:
*Please read the event rules before applying.*
1. Entrance fee: We ask that each entry donates a minimum of £5 to this fundraiser, you'll then recieve a confirmation email.
2. Get creative! You can use any medium to create your piece.
3. Send it to us: Send your amazing pieces to us, along with your payment confirmation, your name/ group and your email address.
